Brookfield Elementary School in the Orange Southwest School District is seeking candidates for our Special Education position available at the elementary level. Brookfield is a small school of less than 100 students, and a wonderful staff. We are looking for individuals that are innovative, energetic, and eager to learn/grow to work with our students and dynamic teachers. The OSSD invests in their educators and provides mentoring, professional development, and course opportunities.
Candidates with a depth of knowledge in literacy, numeracy, intervention strategies, assessment practices and progress monitoring using student data to inform instruction is preferred, but not required. Experience with special education evaluations, IEP development and special education law are also preferred, but not required. This position would be focused on providing direct services to students.
