Essential Functions and Duties
These are the primary responsibilities you will learn in becoming an ACME Machinist:
- Set up & run conventional Multispindle ACME Gridley Screw Machines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand the required machining operations.
- Measure and inspect parts using quality gauges to ensure they meet the required specifications and quality standards.
- Assist the team with troubleshooting and problem-solving that may arise during the machining process.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Gain Knowledge from an in-house company training program.
Requirements:
- Prior familiarity with machining and gauging is preferred, but not required.
- Must be mechanically inclined.
- Must perform well under low supervision.
- Must Have Reliable Transportation.
- Good communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand on your feet for the entire shift without extra breaks.
- Must be able to lift a max of 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the day daily.
Other:
- 1st shift hours are 6:00 am to 4:30pm, Monday through Thursday. Overtime is available when conditions exist.
- Must be able to commute to Machesney Park, IL
- Wear provided Safety Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
