Food Service Crew Member - Cook- Part Time
We are looking for a reliable part-time cook to join our Assisted Living team. This team member will be responsible for preparing and cooking quality meals and providing a satisfying dining experience
Compensation:
$17.50 hourly
Responsibilities:-
Prepare and cook nutritious, well-balanced meals according to menus, dietary guidelines, and resident preferences

Ensure meals are served on schedule and at proper temperatures

Follow special diet requirements (low sodium, texture-modified, etc.)

Maintain a clean, safe, organized kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety regulations

Assist with meal plating and presentation to promote a pleasant dining experience

Monitor and rotate food inventory

Safely operate and maintain kitchen equipment

Adhere to proper food handling, storage, and sanitation standards

Collaborate with dietary staff and caregivers to support resident needs

Demonstrate patience, respect, and a positive attitude when interacting with other staff and residents
Qualifications:-
Previous cooking or food service experience in a healthcare setting preferred

Knowledge of safe food handling, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices

Ability to prepare meals that meet dietary restrictions and special diet requirements

Strong organizational and time management skills to meet meal schedules

Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25-30 pounds, and work in a fast-paced environment

Good communication skills, ability to work cooperatively with staff and residents

Dependable, punctual, and flexible to work scheduled shifts, including every other weekend/holidays as needed

Compassionate and respectful attitude toward older adults
