Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with a focus on diesel engine repair and powertrain systems. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can effectively diagnose issues, perform repairs, and maintain high standards of quality in their work.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on various vehicle systems, including diesel engines, brakes, and powertrains.
- Utilize hand tools and diagnostic equipment to assess vehicle conditions and identify necessary repairs.
- Conduct auto estimating for repair costs and timeframes.
- Execute brake repairs, tire services, and other routine maintenance tasks.
- Interpret schematics to understand vehicle systems and components.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with diesel engine repair techniques is highly desirable.
- Experience in a dealership environment is a plus.
- Strong understanding of auto estimating processes and the ability to read schematics effectively.
- Proficient in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment relevant to automotive repair.
- A valid mechanic certification or equivalent training is advantageous.
