- Perform inspections including First Piece, KPC, DTS, torque verification, Harmony Reviews, and other quality checks in accordance with Control Plans and the Business Operating System (BOS).
- Verify product quality using approved measuring equipment and inspection methods.
- Perform capability studies, Gage R&R, and other quality evaluations as required.
- Ensure proper identification of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods.
- Identify, document, and communicate quality concerns while initiating containment activities for nonconforming material.
- Maintain accurate quality records and ensure inspection documents and controlled work instructions remain current.
- Support Engineering Changes and maintain evidence required for customer-specific quality requirements.
- Assist with sorting, rework, and inspection activities as needed.
- Support root cause analysis, corrective actions, APQP, PPAP, trial builds, and engineering changes.
- Issue supplier discrepancy notifications (DMNs), monitor Quality Alerts, and escalate quality concerns per established procedures.
- Communicate breakpoints and quality issues to appropriate stakeholders.
- Partner with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to resolve quality issues.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following all company safety policies.
- Complete required documentation accurately and perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- One year of automotive manufacturing or quality experience.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges, and fixtures).
- Basic knowledge of quality systems, inspection methods, and statistical concepts.
- Strong communication, analytical, and computer skills (Microsoft Office).
- Associate degree in a technical or quality-related field.
- ASQ Quality Technician certification.
- Experience with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, IATF 16949, capability studies, and Gage R&R.
