Join our dynamic team as a Kitchen Manager, where you'll lead the culinary operations of a vibrant assisted living facility. Schedule
Sunday through Thursday, 8 AM to 4 PM
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Manage all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff on food safety protocols, culinary techniques, and customer service excellence.
- Oversee inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining proper stock levels to minimize waste and control costs.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards across all kitchen activities.
- Coordinate shift schedules, manage staffing levels, and oversee shift management to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Manage budgeting processes related to food costs, labor expenses, and operational supplies.
- Foster a hospitality-focused environment that emphasizes excellent customer service and team collaboration.
Experience
- Proven management experience within the food industry.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in kitchen management, preferably in an assisted-living or similar setting.
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management with a strong understanding of food safety practices.
- Demonstrated supervising experience with a focus on staff training, development, and performance management.
- Valid food safety certification (ServSafe or equivalent) required
- Experience in inventory control, budgeting, and cost management within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Knowledge of health regulations related to food handling and safety standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree preferred.
