Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Residential HVAC Maintenance & Warranty Technician to perform preventative maintenance, warranty diagnostics, and light service repairs on residential heating and cooling systems.
This position is ideal for a technician who enjoys helping homeowners understand their HVAC systems, identifying opportunities to improve comfort and efficiency, and recommending solutions that are genuinely in the customer's best interest.
Responsibilities
- Perform residential HVAC preventative maintenance.
- Diagnose warranty-related issues and complete manufacturer warranty repairs.
- Troubleshoot air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, and mini-split systems.
- Inspect HVAC equipment for safety, efficiency, and overall performance.
- Identify worn or failing components and recommend appropriate repair or replacement options.
- Educate homeowners on system performance, indoor air quality, energy savings, and equipment longevity.
- Present recommended repairs, accessories, indoor air quality products, and system upgrades based on customer needs.
- Promote and enroll customers in the Air Pro Home Services Preventative Maintenance Agreement program.
- Build trust through honest recommendations and exceptional customer service.
- Complete digital service reports, estimates, and documentation accurately.
- Maintain a clean company vehicle and professional appearance.
Qualifications
Required:
- 2+ years of residential HVAC service or maintenance experience.
- EPA Universal Certification.
- Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Comfortable discussing repair options, maintenance agreements, and system upgrades with homeowners.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and outdoor environments.
Preferred:
- Experience with warranty claims and manufacturer warranty repairs.
- Experience with Goodman, Carrier, Lennox, Trane, Rheem, Daikin and AC Pro equipment.
- Experience working on traditional systems, inverter systems, and communicating systems.
- Proven ability to close repair leads, maintenance agreement memberships, and indoor air quality upgrades through customer education and trust.
