Primary Job Function:
The Front Desk Agent is responsible for a professional, personal and efficient check-in and check-out process for each and every guest of the hotel. Agent will also provide information to any guest or visitor inquiries in person or via telephone.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Greet every guest with a welcoming smile as they enter the hotel and provide personal service at all times
· Approach all encounters with guests as well as employees in a professional and personalized manner throughout all areas of the hotel
· Maintain regular attendance and timeliness in compliance with hotel standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel
· Maintain a professional image and positive attitude at all times
· Make guest reservations and operate PBX calls
· Perform accounting duties such as resolve charge disputes, process corrections and/or adjustments to accounts, post charges to accounts, count drawer and prepare cash deposits
· Report pertinent information to the next shift per hotel policy
· Actively participate in daily briefings and meetings
· Ensure that the safety & confidentiality of all matters pertaining to guests are met in accordance with hotel standards
· Understand and execute hotel emergency procedures if an incident should occur
· Identify and solicit potential new loyalty rewards members
· Build rapport with VIP’s, loyalty members, and distinguished visitors
· Respond to all guest inquires, complaints and requests in a timely and efficient manner to ensure guest satisfaction
· Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per hotel procedures to ensure excellent quality and service
Management Contributions for Success:
· Providing training on the brand standard for Front Desk Agents
· Provide feedback throughout training process
· Assist with any training that may be required to enhance job performance
Qualifications and Requirements:
· Basic reading, writing and math skills
This job requires the ability to perform the following:
· Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds and the ability to push and pull
· Prolonged standing and moving about the hotel
· Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility
· Frequently bending, stooping and kneeling
· Able to work alone as well as being a team member
· Have the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and/or holidays
* Morning shift 7Am-3PM
* Night shift 11p-7AM
* Middle shift 3P-11PM
