Key Responsibilities
Procurement Strategy & Planning

Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with production schedules and business goals.

Balance sourcing between outsourced suppliers to optimize cost, quality, and lead times.
Supplier Management & Development
-
Develop and manage a system to Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and reliability and then, drive continuous improvement from such system.

Mitigate supplier risk tactics including but not limited to dual sourcing, safety or consignment stock, etc.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and negotiate favorable Terms and contracts.

Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
Purchasing & Order Management

Manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, timely placement, and compliance with company policies.

Coordinate with internal production teams to forecast material requirements and adjust procurement plans accordingly.

Track and expedite orders to prevent production delays.
Cost Control & Risk Management

Analyze market trends and supplier pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities.

Manage procurement budgets and ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions.
-
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including supplier disruptions and quality issues.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with production, engineering, quality assurance, and logistics teams to align procurement with operational needs.

Support new product introductions by sourcing new suppliers and materials.
Compliance & Reporting

Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.

Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare regular reports on procurement performance and savings.

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or

related field.

5+ years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably discrete

Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills.

Knowledge of procurement software and ERP systems.
-
Analytical mindset with the ability to manage budgets and forecast needs.

Understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain dynamics
