Job Summary:
In the role, the appLab™ Specialist is primarily responsible for conveying accurate technical service information of KYDEX® and or ALLEN® sheet to the field. They generate technical information on SEKISUI KYDEX products by conducting internal testing and trials or by coordinating third party testing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Responds verbally or in writing to technical questions received in writing, by phone, email, or from the technical service hotline
· Produces and updates technical information such as Technical Data Sheets and Technical Briefs
· Works on technical support projects in the testing lab for our customers
· Prepares interim and completion project reports. Makes presentations to customers and colleagues
· Responsible for organizing and maintaining product test results and certifications in one centralized location
· Works with outside testing facilities/vendors to obtain quotes and lead times for testing/certifications of current and developmental products.
· Responsible for internal product testing to characterize and validate SEKISUI KYDEX and competitive products
· Develop new test methods and corresponding test forms, work instructions, safety precautions, etc.
· Work closely with the Quality Department to ensure all test methods and supporting documentation become part of and are regularly updated in the ISO system
· Prepares graphs, charts, reports, and presentations on a regular basis
· Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
· Associate’s degree in Polymer Science, Chemistry or related technical concentration with no related experience necessary
· Equivalent experience of at least 3 years in related role progression in lieu of a degree
· Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
· Support and contribute to Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
· Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times
· Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Bachelor's degree in Polymer Science, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline
· Strong coordination and Project Management skills
· Engages others, builds relationships, and creates networks outside team. Checks in with different people to understand the bigger picture
· Is curious, agile, engages in new experiences and looks for different perspectives

Travel Requirements:
· This position will have less than 5% (13 business days) of travel. Expected travel will consist of customer/vendor visits and off-site training.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
· Light – exerting up to 20lbs/9kg of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects.
· Rarely (1 to 2 times per month), it may be necessary to exert up to 50lb/22kg of force to move objects in/out of equipment during setup which may require twisting, bending, reaching without force to access objects
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and depth perception
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally becomes exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet
· Working conditions and environment may change occasionally due to visits to customer facilities
· Proven ability to work in-person and in a virtual environment in a global organization and to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

Pay: $69,200.00 - $85,100.00 per year
