Experienced Bartender

Are you energetic, personable, and passionate about creating a great guest experience? Villa Nova Pizza is looking for an experienced Bartender to join our team. We are a fast-paced, family-owned restaurant and bar where teamwork, hospitality, and quality service come first.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and company standards.
- Provide friendly, prompt, and professional service to every guest.
- Take food and beverage orders from bar guests.
- Prepare drinks accurately and efficiently for servers and dining room guests.
- Check IDs and comply with all Illinois liquor laws.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout each shift.
- Prepare garnishes, stock beer, liquor, wine, mixers, and supplies.
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and accurately balance your drawer.
- Promote daily specials, signature cocktails, beer, wine, and desserts.
- Monitor guest alcohol consumption and serve responsibly.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, cleaning, inventory, and side work.
- Support servers, hosts, bussers, and kitchen staff whenever needed. At Villa Nova, we believe in teamwork—there is no such thing as "that's not my job."
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of bartending experience in a high-volume restaurant or bar preferred.
- Knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and a positive attitude.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Illinois BASSET certification preferred (or ability to obtain).

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
