The Research Assistant is responsible for assisting the Clinical Research Coordinators in conducting clinical trials while performing a variety of administrative and clinical study activities assigned and/or identified by the department manager and/or CRC's. You must be Bilingual in English and Spanish for this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with the completion of some electronic case report forms under the direction of the CRC assigned to a particular protocol
- Assist with ensuring patient compliance as directed by CRC for each individual study by performing such duties as giving patients reminder calls prior to their scheduled visits, sending out reminder appointment cards, and other related tasks
- Assist Clinical Research Coordinators with seeing patient follow up visits or prescreening visits. Which includes but not limited to the following: obtaining vital signs, ECG's, lab work, injections, interview patient for any problems, questions, or adverse events, have patients review and complete questionnaires, list all patients’ current medications, assist with drug accountability (such as accurately counting pills that patients return) and process and package lab samples for shipping
- Miscellaneous assigned duties may include, but are not limited to the following: filing, requesting charts, copying, putting together patient enrollment packets and/or folders, laminating, preparing packages to be mailed, putting together regulatory packets, sending out letters to patients, assist with creating new forms, tools and/or templates to be utilized when starting up a new protocol and management of patient medical records.
- Maintain needed supplies for the department and all research studies being conducted
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Assist with additional tasks as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERITIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science or related field
- Entry Level Clinical Research Position
- Previous employment in the medical field is preferred
- Working knowledge of medical terminology is preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
