Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation and food production in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards
- Serve meals to residents or patients with courtesy, professionalism, and a positive attitude
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen and dining spaces
- Buss tables, clear trays, and maintain tidy dining areas to promote a pleasant dining experience
- Follow strict food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure proper sanitation practices are upheld
- Support the dietary department by helping with inventory management and food storage procedures
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to support meal timing and special dietary needs for residents or patients
Experience
- Previous experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or other healthcare environments is highly preferred
- Background in food service or the food industry, including culinary experience or food preparation skills
- Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities such as serving meals, assisting with meal prep, and maintaining sanitation standards
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during busy meal times
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures to ensure resident safety
- Experience with cleaning, sanitation, bussing, and general kitchen duties is advantageous
- Passion for customer service and supporting the nutritional needs of vulnerable populations
