Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Cosmetology Instructor to inspire and educate aspiring beauty professionals. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive training across a wide range of cosmetology disciplines, including skincare, hair styling, makeup application, nail care, and aesthetic treatments. Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons on cosmetology topics such as hair coloring, hair extensions, barbering, skincare, massage therapy, facial treatments, eyelash extensions, body waxing, and dermabrasion
- Develop detailed lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and industry best practices
- Supervise students during practical applications to ensure safety and proper technique
- Mentor students through hands-on training in salon settings and classroom environments
- Evaluate student progress through assessments, demonstrations, and feedback sessions
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom conducive to active learning and creativity
- Stay current with industry trends and incorporate new techniques like aesthetic laser treatments and trigger point therapy into lessons
Experience
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry with expertise in cosmetology, skincare, massage therapy, or related fields
- Extensive salon experience demonstrating proficiency in hair styling, coloring, threading, and nail care
- Prior teaching or classroom experience in adult education or cosmetology programs preferred
- Knowledge of anatomy relevant to aesthetic treatments and massage techniques
- Hands-on experience with advanced procedures such as dermabrasion, laser treatments, and deep tissue massage
- Strong background in lesson planning, student mentoring, and classroom management
- Familiarity with current beauty industry standards and certification requirements
