Experienced Roof and Siding Installer

Tomlinson Cannon is hiring a full-time roof and siding installer for our Iowa City location. This is a year-round position with a temporary layoff in the winter.
Responsibilities:
- General carpentry to repair siding, soffit, fascia, trim and roof decking and trusses
- Perform installation of asphalt, metal and rubber roofs including underlayment, drip edge, and ventilation.
- Perform various roofing and siding repairs including troubleshooting and resolving leaks
- Install and repair fascia board, fascia metal and soffit
- Install snow guards
- Use a metal brake to custom form fascia metal
- Assist with seamless gutter installation, gutter guard installation, gutter repairs and cleaning
- Work on various pitched roofs and ladders
- Drive trucks and vans
- Load trucks with tools and equipment
- Clean equipment and job sites
- Ensure all equipment in operation meets or exceeds all safety standards
- Other duties as assigned
Technician Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license
- Able to work on roofs and from tall ladders
- Able to lift 50+ pounds
- 1 year experience with siding, roofing or carpentry
- Motivated and self-disciplined
- Ability to communicate with customers
- Strong team player
Competitive Benefits:
- Job based pay with uncapped commission - the more efficient your crew the more you earn! Base pay ranges from $21-24 per hour based on experience. Extra bonus pay is $2-5+ per hour based on performance.
