Job Title: After School Instructor / Teacher
Pay: $25.50 - $33/hour depending on experience
Site & Hours: Part Time for roughly 25 hours per week. Each position is at one site ONLY.
El Dorado Elementary School (TK-5th grade) - 70 Delta St, San Francisco
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday - 1:30pm-6pm
- Wednesday - 12:30pm-6pm
Visitacion Valley Elementary School (TK-5th grade) - 55 Schwerin St, San Francisco
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday - 2:30pm-6pm
- Wednesday - 1:15pm-6pm
Visitacion Valley Middle School (6th-8th grade) - 1971 Visitacion Ave, San Francisco
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday - 3:30pm-6:30pm
- Wednesday - 1:30pm-6:30pm
Sites: Each staff person works at only one school site.

Description: R.O.C.K. works with a wide range of students, some who need additional supports to succeed in our after school program. The After School Inclusion Support Staff would work closely with 1 or 2 identified students to ensure they can participate fully in our programs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work 1:1 with students to keep them motivated and engaged in their after school classes
- Support students in interacting with their peers in positive ways
- Provide students with breaks to reduce overstimulation and allow decompression
- Assist in academic support for students, including supporting online tutoring and homework completion
- Support students using positive discipline philosophy and restorative practices
- Be a leader and role model to youth
- Create and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment
- Develop positive relationships with students, teachers and staff and maintain positive rapport with parents/guardians
- Maintain communication with Site Coordinator and Director
- Attend bi-weekly staff meetings with supervisor for professional development
Qualifications:
- One year of experience in working with children
- Desire to work with underserved children
- Reliable means of transportation to and from program
- Bilingual in Spanish, Cantonese and/or Samoan is a plus
- 48 college credits from an accredited college or university or successful completion of the Instructional Aide Exam (administered after hire)
- Provide proof of a negative TB screen within the past four years
- Candidates must go through a background check after a conditional offer is made. Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction record
