We are a fast-paced Primary and Urgent Care practice open 7-days a week seeking a highly dependable, professional Medical Assistant cross-trained in clinical and administrative/front desk duties.

What You Can Expect
- $20.00-$25.00/hr, commiserate with experience
- 12-30hrs per week, occasionally more if needed
- 6-8hr shifts, occasionally 10-12hrs if needed
- WEEKENDS REQUIRED, 9am-5pm - we are always willing to be flexible and accommodating of personal schedules, but do NOT apply if you do not have any consistent weekend availability

Core Responsibilities
- Open/close the clinic and prepare all workstations and systems (EMR, eligibility portals, communications platforms)
- Greet and check in patients efficiently while maintaining a professional and compassionate demeanor
- Verify patients' insurance, collect copays/self-pay balances, and ensure all check-in documentation is complete
- Answer phone calls, return voicemails, monitor faxes, receive mail, and open incoming packages
- Scan and upload patient documentation into the EMR
- Monitor refill requests, lab results, and provider messages
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of front desk, waiting room, exam rooms, and shared spaces
- Escort patients to exam rooms and document vitals, history, medications, and allergies
- Perform EKGs, rapid testing, specimen collection, phlebotomy, and urinalysis
- Package specimens and coordinate daily lab pickups
- Assist providers with procedures and patient care
- Uphold strict infection control and patient privacy standards
- Restock rooms and lab supplies

- Is uncomfortable working by themselves
- Is unwilling to be reasonably understanding of last-minute changes

Qualifications
- Prior Medical Assistant experience (1-3 years minimum)
- Valid CMA, CNA, and or Phlebotomy certification (REQUIRED)
- Experience with eClinicalWorks EMR a plus
- Working knowledge of medical insurance, billing, and coding a plus
- Background in hospitality and or customer service a plus
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-moving environment
- Attention to detail
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
