RESPONSIBILITIES
§ Check in and organize materials that come into the warehouse, unpack and examine incoming shipments and compare with purchase orders to verify accuracy of incoming shipments.
§ Mark the locations of the materials on the bills of ladings
§ Issue materials to installers for jobs, help load and/or cut materials for the installers and operate the cutting machine
§ Keep track of any material balances left in the warehouse for a job
§ Coordinate material authorizations with the purchasing agent and accounts payable
§ Conduct periodic inventories
§ Secure warehouse building and clean warehouse office
§ Organize the warehouse and put away materials
§ Maintain a neat and uncluttered warehouse
§ Occasionally pick up materials from vendors and make deliveries to job sites
§ Order supplies as needed
§ Maintain company grounds
§ Maintain warehouse equipment (i.e. forklift, cutting machine)
§ Perform shipping and receiving duties including packing and palletizing.
§ Prepares documentation for shipping and receiving of products and inventory.
§ Communicates any damage to manager before accepting shipment.
§ Receive and properly store incoming shipments.
§ Maintains shipping records, including providing tracking or shipment history information upon request.
§ Safely and accurately cut carpet, vinyl, foam etc. for customers.
§ Other duties as assigned

Requirements
Must have a high school diploma/GED
At least 6 months experience in a warehouse facility
Demonstrated knowledge of the products in the floor covering industry
Demonstrated knowledge of the operation of a warehouse
Ability to be forklift certified.
Excellent communication (verbally and written) with all levels of the organization and able to build effective relationships with others.
Strong organizational, multi-tasking and follow-through skills.
Valid California driver’s license.
Able to perform challenging physical tasks during entire shift and lift up to 65 pounds on a regular basis.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour (based on experience)
