Duties
- Perform a variety of hair styling techniques including cutting, coloring, blowouts, and special occasion styles to meet client preferences.
- Provide expert hair care advice, recommend suitable products, and upsell retail items to enhance client satisfaction.
- Execute advanced services such as hair extensions, eyelash extensions, threading, and makeup application with precision.
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning tools and workstations after each client.
- Manage client communication effectively by understanding their needs, offering professional recommendations, and ensuring a positive experience.
- Utilize salon software like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, track client preferences, and process transactions efficiently.
- Assist with store management tasks including front desk responsibilities, retail sales, inventory management, and mentoring new team members.
Experience
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry as a hairstylist or cosmetologist with a strong portfolio of diverse services.
- Knowledge of salon software systems such as MINDBODY for appointment booking and client management.
- Skilled in various hair techniques including coloring (color theory), styling, cutting (including barbering with straight razors), and hair extensions.
- Familiarity with nail care services and makeup application to provide comprehensive beauty solutions.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging clients confidently and building lasting relationships.
- Strong understanding of sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
- Ability to upsell retail products through retail math skills while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.
