Position Summary
Kids in Action is hiring child-friendly gymnastics instructors to help our community’s children become happy, healthy, and responsible people. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, a positive communicator, and open-minded about learning and growing. Positions are available teaching preschoolers through high school age. Training is available for future super coaches who are new to gymnastics instruction!
We are looking for dependable team members who want to make a meaningful difference in children’s lives and grow with KIAGA long term.
Pay, Schedule, and Openings
- Pay: $15 to $30 per hour based on experience, qualifications, and the classes taught.
- Weekday availability: Monday through Friday, 3:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
- Saturday availability: 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
- Teaching shifts are scheduled within these hours based on program enrollment and staffing needs.
- We are currently hiring coaches for preschool gymnastics, girls’ recreational gymnastics, and boys’ recreational gymnastics.
Essential Responsibilities
- Come ready to bring great energy to every class and review the lesson plan before athletes arrive.
- Keep every athlete actively supervised, supported, and accounted for throughout class.
- Adjust activities so children of different ages, abilities, and readiness levels can feel successful and have fun.
- Keep kids active, involved, and excited to learn while moving safely between stations.
- Build positive relationships with athletes and families through friendly, encouraging, and professional communication.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience working with children and a genuine excitement for helping them grow.
- Ability to lead a fun, organized class independently after completing KIAGA training.
- A positive attitude, clear communication, dependable attendance, patience, energy, and professionalism.
- Enthusiasm for learning gymnastics progressions, class-management skills, and safe spotting techniques.
- Successful completion of required background screening and athlete-safety training.
Preferred Qualifications
- Gymnastics, tumbling, trampoline, teaching, camp, or youth-program experience.
- USA Gymnastics recreational education or equivalent training.
- CPR, AED, and First Aid certification, or willingness to complete the training within KIAGA’s required timeframe.
Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 35.0 per week
