Job Title: Wastewater Collection System Operator 2
This job is a mid-level role that will participate in the operation and maintenance of the wastewater collection system.
Salary Range: Dependent on Qualification
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
Ability to obtain a CDL class A within two years (ACWA will provide training)
5 Years of wastewater collection experience at a medium or large size utility
Knowledge and experience of sewer lift station maintenance, repair and operation
Knowledge and experience with electrical wiring and mechanical repairs associated with sewer lift stations
Ability to be on-call and respond to call outs as needed to support the operation of the collection system
Ability to wear all required PPE and adhere to all policies
Ability to work in confined spaces
Ability to work in all weather conditions
Ability to work in environments and in close proximity to chemicals and other fluids requiring PPE utilization
Ability to physically perform requirements of the job involving working extended hours as needed
Ability to learn new technologies and operate software such as GIS, work order management software and other programs to assist in record keeping.
Ability to monitor SCADA software and respond to alerts after hours
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience performing smoke tests of sewer mains and performing camera inspections
State of Tennessee Grade I or Grade 2 Collection System Operator certification
State of Tennessee Biological/Natural System Operator certification
Supervisory experience with leadership ability
Specialized training or experience in water/sewage pump & motor maintenance and repair
Specialized training or experience in SCADA troubleshooting, control wiring and installation
Experience operating heavy equipment not limited to excavators, dump trucks and sewer jet/vac trucks

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
