Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of grilled dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all food is cooked to the correct temperature and presented attractively for service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station, adhering to food safety regulations
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new ideas and ensuring ingredient availability
- Handle food with care, following proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders during busy periods
- Support catering events and special functions by preparing large quantities of grilled items as needed
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or culinary setting
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices
- Experience with dietary department requirements and dietary aide responsibilities preferred
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation
- Familiarity with menu planning, catering, fine dining, and food industry best practices
