Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and safety-conscious Class A flatbed driver to join our transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers equipped with flatbed trailers to transport freight across various routes. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, combined with your knowledge of logistics cargo handling and adherence to federal and state regulations, will ensure timely and secure deliveries. Duties
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers with flatbed configurations, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations
- Load, secure, and unload freight using manual handling techniques and equipment such as forklifts when necessary
- Drive route-driven deliveries utilizing GPS navigation systems to optimize efficiency and meet delivery schedules
- Transport various types of cargo, including hazardous materials and dangerous goods, following all safety protocols and regulations
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, trailer, and load to ensure safety standards are maintained
- Load and unload freight on flatbeds or specialized trailers like refrigerated trailers or tanker trucks as required
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in compliance with DOT regulations
Requirements
- Valid Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, particularly with flatbed trailers and route driving
- Proficiency in manual transmission trucks and manual handling of cargo
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and DOT compliance standards
- Experience operating equipment such as forklifts or dump trucks is a plus
- Ability to handle logistics cargo securely and efficiently while adhering to safety procedures
- Strong communication skills for coordinating deliveries and reporting issues promptly

Pay: $2,500.00 - $4,500.00 per week
