The Urgent Care Provider (Physician, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant) is responsible for delivering high-quality, efficient, and compassionate care to patients with non-life-threatening conditions. This role involves diagnosing and treating a variety of illnesses and injuries, performing minor medical procedures, and providing patient education and preventive care. The provider will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
1. **Patient Care:** - Assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries. - Perform physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans. - Prescribe medications and provide appropriate patient education and follow-up care.
2. **Procedural Skills:** - Perform minor surgical procedures such as suturing, splinting, wound care, and abscess drainage. - Administer vaccinations, injections, and other treatments as needed.
3. **Collaboration:** - Work closely with nurses, medical assistants, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care. - Refer patients to specialists or primary care physicians when necessary.
4. **Documentation:** - Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR). - Ensure compliance with all regulatory and clinical guidelines.
5. **Patient Education:** - Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care measures.
6. **Operational Support:** - Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall efficiency of the urgent care center. - Assist in the management of patient flow and clinic operations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
