Summary: Responsible for assisting the Facilities Director with maintaining properties and construction projects. Role includes performing routine maintenance tasks, repairs, diagnosing and troubleshooting concerns, assisting with construction and oversight of new projects. Goal is to ensure that all properties, systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, irrigation, etc.), and equipment remain in proper working order for continued business operations and construction projects remain on target to meet deadlines.
Essential Job Duties:
1. Address Repair Requests
a. Diagnose and repair or schedule repair of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or the like systems.
b. Assist with responses to maintenance requests. We currently use FMX as our ticketing platform.
c. Obtain parts as needed for repairs
2. Routine Maintenance
a. Monitor properties and systems for regular maintenance.
b. Perform necessary inspections of properties and systems
c. Assist with preventative maintenance and maintenance schedules to prevent emergency outages and preserve equipment.
3. Security and Inspections
a. Work to maintain a safe work environment – helping maintain appropriate lighting, fire systems, etc. with necessary inspections.
b. Assist with maintaining records of maintenance activities and compliance with any regulations.
c. Assist with ensuring buildings, properties, and equipment are secured each evening.
d. Follow all safety guidelines and protocol when completing maintenance tasks.
4. Construction projects
a. Work with contractor to obtain needed supplies
b. Assist with scheduling of vendors for needed inspections
c. Review invoicing related to construction and repair projects and note discrepancies or changes needed.
d. Coordinate due diligence inspections and assist with access to properties as needed.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Clean driving record.
· Experience in facilities and repairs required.
· General construction experience or understanding
· Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
· Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
· Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
· Good communication skills.
