Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with an active TS/SCI clearance and CI Polygraph to support a high-profile government mission. The ideal candidate will have strong Linux administration expertise, infrastructure automation experience, and a security-focused mindset. This role involves managing secure Linux environments, automating system provisioning, and supporting mission-critical infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Linux Administration, or Systems Engineering
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively in a secure, classified environment
Required Technical Skills
- Strong experience with Linux administration (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu)
- Experience with SELinux configuration, management, and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in Python scripting for automation
- Experience with Ansible for configuration management and infrastructure automation
- Knowledge of Linux security hardening and system provisioning
- Experience developing and maintaining automated configuration management solutions
- Familiarity with Linux shell scripting (Bash)
Desired Experience
Experience with one or more of the following:
- Linux system administration
- Linux scripting and automation
- Automated system configuration and deployment
- Linux security implementation and compliance
- Operating system provisioning and lifecycle management
- Infrastructure automation and configuration management
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community environments
- Familiarity with STIG implementation and compliance
- Experience with Git version control
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies
- Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or OpenShift) is a plus
- Security+ or Linux-related certifications (RHCSA/RHCE, Linux+, etc.) are desirable
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain secure Linux-based environments.
- Develop and maintain automation using Python and Ansible.
- Implement Linux security best practices, including SELinux and STIG compliance.
- Provision, configure, and maintain Linux servers.
- Automate infrastructure deployment and system configuration.
- Troubleshoot system performance, security, and operational issues.
- Collaborate with engineering and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure, reliable infrastructure.
- Support system upgrades, patch management, and configuration management activities.
- Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.

Pay: $175,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
