Responsibilities
1. Customer Service

Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer basic questions about products, services, or store policies.
2. Transaction Handling
-
Operate the cash register, POS system, or self-checkout system.
- Scan items accurately and ensure correct pricing.
- Process payments (cash, credit/debit cards, mobile payments, gift cards).
- Issue receipts, refunds, or exchanges per store policy.
3. Money Management

Count cash drawer at the beginning and end of shift.
- Maintain accurate cash handling and prevent shortages.
- Report any discrepancies immediately to a supervisor.
4. Sales Support

Upsell or suggest additional products.
- Handle promotional discounts, coupons, and loyalty programs.
5. Store Maintenance

Keep checkout area clean, organized, and stocked (bags, receipt paper, etc.).
- Assist with restocking shelves near the register if needed.
6. Compliance & Security

Follow company policies for cash handling and fraud prevention.
- Stay alert to suspicious activity and report to management.
Qualifications
