Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and construction environments using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation and maintenance of electrical systems.
- Bending conduit and wiring electrical circuits according to NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards to ensure safety and compliance.
- Follow strict safety protocols related to electrical safety procedures, including working with energized circuits and adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) guidelines.
- Collaborate with other trades such as frame carpentry or construction teams to coordinate project timelines and ensure seamless integration of electrical work.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including schematic modifications, inspection reports, and compliance records.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial settings; construction site experience is highly valued.
- Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, conduit bending equipment, and testing devices such as ohmmeters.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and electrical safety procedures.
- Experience working with high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) electrical systems across various project types.
- Strong understanding of electrical wiring installation, conduit bending techniques, and system troubleshooting.
- Construction experience combined with a commitment to safety protocol adherence at all times.
