About the Role
We are seeking a Shop Operations Supervisor to oversee daily shop operations, coordinate equipment and vehicle repairs, and support a team of mechanics. This role ensures work is completed safely and efficiently, maintains accurate repair records, and communicates equipment needs and concerns to management.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily shop operations and repair activities.
- Schedule and coordinate equipment and vehicle repairs.
- Assign projects and provide support to shop employees.
- Monitor repair progress and ensure work is completed accurately and on time.
- Coordinate parts purchasing and maintain repair documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA, and DOT safety standards.
- Track maintenance data and report key issues to management.
- Maintain shop cleanliness, organization, and safe working conditions.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in a repair shop or maintenance environment preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure.
- Ability to interpret instructions, follow procedures, and maintain accurate records.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
- Comfortable working indoors/outdoors in varying conditions.
Additional Requirements
- Occasional work outside normal hours, including some Saturdays.
- Ability to travel to job sites as needed.
