Production Control Purchasing Coordinator
Primary Role in the Organization:
Places orders and tracks delivery of components and raw materials to maintain stock levels and support Neaton's production requirements. Ensures all company and department objectives are met.

Purchasing Assistant Manager, Production Control
Manager, Production Control
Supervises:
N/A
Responsibilities:
1.) Order and maintain inventory of assigned parts or materials within company targets.
2.) Control freight costs.
3.) Cycle count assigned parts and materials - Quarterly and as-needed
4.) Investigate inventory issues to determine root causes and support countermeasures.
5.) Meet all department objectives as directed. Such as inventory turns, premium freight, overtime, etc.
6.) Represent Purchasing in meetings as required.
7.) Support new program introductions for assigned parts.
8.) Monitor build-out programs to eliminate obsolescence.
9.) Complete DSPS/JSP requirements per Honda procedure.
10.) Investigate alternative usage for obsolete parts and materials.
11.) Cross-train within the department.
12.) Participate in continuous improvement activities: (i.e. NISS, 6S, SQCD, etc.)
12.) Support all NAPM certifications: (i.e. J-SOX, TS, ISO)
Qualifications:
A. Experience
1.) 2-3 years prior Purchasing or related experience preferred
2.) QAD experience preferred
3.) Microsoft Office experience (Excel, Word) preferred
4.) Knowledge of manufacturing environment
B. Education
1.) High School diploma or equivalent
2.) 2-year college degree in related field or APICS certification preferred
Requirements:
A. Physical Demands
1.) Keyboarding, sitting, walking, standing, and reaching. No unusual requirements for
physical strength other than normal office activities.
2.) Must have the ability to meet department work schedules and be flexible with hours if required.
3.) Required to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally
