Bales Security is a growing, professional security guard services company providing protection for commercial properties, financial institutions, apartments, homeowners associations, schools, and other high-profile property sites throughout the Tampa Bay area.
We are seeking an experienced Director of Operations to lead and oversee all aspects of daily operations. This is a senior leadership position responsible for managing personnel, ensuring client satisfaction, improving operational efficiency, and supporting the continued growth of the organization.
Position Summary
The Director of Operations will provide strategic and day-to-day leadership for company operations across all client accounts. The ideal candidate is an experienced operations leader with excellent communication skills, and ability to lead teams in a fast-paced environment.

Salary plus commission on sales
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee daily operations for multiple client accounts.
- Lead, coach, and supervise field managers and security personnel.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and serve as the primary point of contact for operational issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, state regulations, and client requirements.
- Develop and implement operational procedures
- Monitor staffing levels and coordinate scheduling to ensure adequate coverage.
- Prepare operational reports and analyze key performance indices
- Assist with budgeting, payroll oversight, invoicing, and financial management using QuickBooks.
- Respond to operational issues or emergencies as needed, including after-hours support.
- Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic planning and business growth initiatives.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in operations management, business management, security management, or a related field.
- Proven 5+ years of experience managing multiple employees, locations, or client accounts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Experience in the private security industry, law enforcement, military, or a related service industry.
- Florida Class D and G Security Licenses (or ability to obtain).
- Experience with workforce scheduling and personnel management.
