Shift: Rotating shifts & Weekends
Hours Per Week: 20 hr./week
Hiring Range: $18.39 - $24.59/hr.
The posted pay range contains shift differentials.
- Weekday evening shift - additional 10%
- Weekday night shift - an additional 15%
- Weekend day shift – an additional 10%
- Weekend evening & night shifts – an additional 21%
The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, package, label, and distribute medications under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Refill and maintain automated dispensing cabinets, medication carts, and medication kits
- Deliver medications to nursing units and patient care areas in a timely manner
- Maintain and rotate medication inventory, including removal of expired products
- Prepack medications from bulk bottles into unit-dose packaging, ensuring accurate labeling
- Receive, verify, and stock pharmaceutical medications and supplies
- Prepares medication orders for the pharmacy department
- Communicate effectively with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, nurses, and healthcare team members
- Identify and report medication discrepancies, errors, or safety concerns to the pharmacist in charge
- Certified technicians may be eligible to perform expanded duties based on qualifications
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent required. Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Pharmacy Technician credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or,
Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
