Job Overview
We are seeking energetic and dedicated Servers to join our dynamic hospitality team! As a Server, you will be the face of our restaurant, delivering exceptional guest experiences through attentive service, expert beverage and food knowledge, and a positive attitude. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive seating service to ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages, maintaining proper drink service etiquette.
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales while providing detailed descriptions of dishes and drinks.
- Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card payments, while adhering to cash handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables promptly, resetting dining areas, and following food safety protocols.
- Assist with food preparation or plating when needed, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure timely service.
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring every guest leaves satisfied.
Requirements
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred; fine dining experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of POS systems and familiarity with OpenTable for reservations is beneficial.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling procedures.
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service standards.
- Ability to adhere to food safety regulations and sanitation practices diligently.
- Experience in food handling, food preparation, bussing, or host/hostess roles is desirable; culinary or kitchen experience can be an asset.
- Have Tips or serve safe certification or willing to obtain one once hired.
