Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide compassionate care and support to individuals in need at Vital Home Care for Saturdays and Sundays . The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for helping others and possess the necessary skills to assist with various personal care tasks.
Duties
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
-Personal laundry-the laundry belonging to the client
- Support clients with mobility and physical therapy exercises
-Assistance with ambulation, transfers, range of motion exercise, safe use of equipment and assistive devices (walker, crutches, cane), change of position
-Assistance with toileting, use of bedpan, commode, or urinal; incontinence care
-Emotional support and motivation through encouragement and conversation
- Administer medication under the direction of healthcare professionals
- Assist with medication reminders
-Assist with meal prep
-Light house keeping
- Offer memory care support for individuals with cognitive impairments
- Monitor and report changes in clients' health status to the supervising medical staff
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
- Document client progress and care provided accurately
-Conduct and present themselves in a professional manner according to company policy
-Adhere to infection control and safety procedures that are in accordance with agency policy
Experience
- Experience in assisted living, hospital, or home care settings is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is beneficial
- Familiarity with various medical health conditions is a plus
- Proficiency in medical documentation practices via EVV system (clocking in and out via GPS application system)
Requirements
-Passionate caregiver willing to serve and help others
-High School Diploma or GED certificate
-Driver's Licenses and reliable vehicle
-CPR Certification
-Negative TB (PPD) Test Results or Chest Xray
-One weekend out of the month required (Saturday and Sunday)
Physical Requirements
-Eighteen years of age or older
-Physical, visual, and hearing capacities functioning at a level sufficient to provide for supervisory and physical care needs of clients.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
