Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of commercial, residential, or industrial spaces including floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following proper procedures for storage, mixing, application, and disposal to ensure a healthy environment for all.
- Conduct custodial tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, trash removal, and sanitation to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Operate cleaning machinery including floor buffers and other specialized equipment with attention to safety protocols.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues to management promptly.
- Follow safety procedures diligently during heavy lifting or manual handling activities to prevent injuries.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs professionally and maintaining positive interactions during cleaning visits.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning practices.
- Familiarity with handling chemical agents safely and understanding chemical handling safety procedures.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and sanitation tools effectively.
- Strong manual handling skills with an emphasis on safe lifting practices when moving heavy objects or supplies.
- Excellent attention to detail ensuring all areas meet sanitation standards and cleanliness expectations.
- Good communication skills for interacting with clients or team members professionally.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance tasks including basic repairs or troubleshooting minor issues related to cleaning equipment or fixtures.
