Armed Security Officer (Part-Time)
ARMED SECURITY OFFICER
Location: Chicago, IL
Schedule: Part-time / Monday-Sunday 4pm-8pm or 5pm-9pm
Pay: $20.00 per hour

We’re looking for a reliable and observant Armed Security Officer to join our Chicago-based team. This role offers consistent, part-time weekday and weekend hours, a supportive environment, and the opportunity to protect and serve in a highly visible position.

Patrol assigned interior/exterior areas by foot, vehicle, or bike

Monitor surroundings and report suspicious activity

Respond quickly to incidents in line with company policy and use-of-force guidelines

Write detailed reports and maintain daily activity logs (DARs)

Enforce site policies, post orders, and client rules

Support customer service needs at front desks, loading docks, or other key locations

Stay informed on site-specific emergency protocols

Active IL PERC card
-
Active IL FOID card
-
Current IL Armed Security Training Certificate (40-hour training)

Gun permit
-
Personal firearm, level 2+ holster, and duty belt

High school diploma or equivalent
-
At least 1–3 years of experience in security (armed), law enforcement, military, or customer service preferred

Strong written communication for report writing

Reliable transportation to and from the site

Ability to pass a background check

Military background or relevant college education

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (if required for the post)

Ability to pass a drug test (if required for the site)
