JOB SUMMARY: The Lead Housekeeper guides the Housekeeping operation of the
property working regularly with the General Manager and Co lead to accomplish the specific objectives and goals of the organization. The Head Housekeeper will obtain specific objectives and goals from planning, organizing, training and evaluating to controlling costs, maintaining profitability, and ensuring safety and security.
Essential Functions:
More specifically, the Lead Housekeeper is responsible for:
1.Planning- knowing the specific objectives and goals of the organization they are to
create or assist in the creation of a plan to realize them.
2. Organizing- recruiting, hiring, orientating, and scheduling as well as employee relations,
compensations, benefits, labor relations and safety for the Housekeeping Department in
conjunction with the General Manager.
3.Training - demonstrating the procedure and techniques required to complete any task at
hand.
4.Evaluating- assuring quality of work through inspection and performance appraisals of
each Room Attendant - disciplining when necessary.
5.Ordering- supplies and inventories in conjunction with the General Manager.
6.Communicating - with all Guest Services Representatives regarding procedures for
housekeeping and laundry.
7.Attending- all departmental meetings.
8.Light maintenance and grounds-keeping - including trash pick up outside, scheduled
rotation of mattresses, PTAC filter cleaning, carpet shampooing, window washing, etc.
9. Assisting- with the continental breakfast.
10. Cleaning- of guest rooms.
11. Coordinating- housekeeping efforts as the room status changes.
12.All other duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Pay: $14.50 - $15.50 per hour
