Stormwater Pipe and Structure Technician (Craftworker 1)
Location: 22211 U.S. Highway 19 North, Clearwater, FL 33765
Schedule: 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (Monday- Thursday or Tuesday-Friday)
Pinellas County Stormwater Operations is seeking a Stormwater Pipe and Structure Technician to install, repair, and maintain underground drainage systems throughout the county. This hands-on position works with stormwater pipes, culverts, drainage structures, and heavy equipment while supporting essential public infrastructure.

CDL Class B is required at hire or within six (6) months of hire.
What Would You Do?
Assembles, installs, and repairs pipes, fittings and fixtures of water and drainage systems.
Perform structure repairs and site clearing to maintain access to stormwater infrastructure, including working in and around confined spaces such as manholes, stormwater structures, and underground drainage systems.
Operate Mini Excavator, Skid Steer and other equipment safely and efficiently.
Loads and secures equipment/ supplies on a trailer and transports to the job site.
Remove sediment and invasive vegetation from stormwater systems.
Build structures and not limited to concrete work lids, sidewalks, valley curbs, and driveways.
Have the ability to set up Lazer and shoot grade.
Performs related work as assigned or required.
What Do You Need To Have?

Three (3) years of skilled craft or trade experience in construction, public works, stormwater maintenance, utility installation, excavation, concrete work, or a related field, OR;

Completion of a two-year skilled trades vocational or technical school program with a diploma or certification and one (1) year of experience as described above, OR;

An equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.

Assignment to work a variety of work schedules including compulsory work periods in special, emergency, and/or disaster situations.
Additional Requirements:

Possession and maintenance of a valid State of Florida Driver's License upon hire with eligibility based upon evaluation of a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) driving report.

Possession and maintenance of a valid Florida Commercial Driver’s License Class "B" license at time of hire or within six (6) months.

Must obtain a Temporary Traffic Control (TTC formerly MOT) certification within six (6) months of hire.
