Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Manage guest seating arrangements, maintaining waitlists and coordinating table assignments with efficiency
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders accurately and swiftly
- Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments with attention to detail and adherence to cash handling procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and cashier area to ensure a welcoming environment
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to coordinate guest needs and special requests
- Uphold food safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations during all interactions
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when taking reservations or answering inquiries
Experience
- Previous host/hostess experience in a food service or restaurant setting preferred
- Strong customer service background with excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Experience in hotel or hospitality environments is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety practices and restaurant operations enhances your ability to succeed in this role
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude
- Prior experience with guest relations, serving, or food service roles will support your success in creating exceptional guest experiences
Pay: $9.00 - $11.00 per hour
