Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, wines, spirits, and craft beers with precision and flair.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their overall experience.
- Manage cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards.
- Develop new beverage recipes and contribute to menu updates that reflect current trends and guest preferences.
- Ensure responsible alcohol service by checking IDs and monitoring guest consumption.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to coordinate food and beverage service during events or busy periods.
- Process cash handling efficiently while maintaining accuracy in sales reporting.
- Assist in bar management tasks including inventory control, stock replenishment, and ordering supplies.
- Uphold high standards of hospitality industry practices, including food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bartender or in food service within the hospitality industry; fine dining or banquet experience is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of mixology techniques, beverage recipes, wine varieties, spirits, and craft beer brewing processes.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing transactions smoothly.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service with a positive attitude.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and inventory management.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Experience with beverage recipe development and cocktail crafting is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and special events.
- Prior hospitality or restaurant experience is essential; catering or banquet experience is a plus.
