Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, stretch session, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, body scrubs, and occupational health treatments tailored to client needs.
- Conduct thorough client assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans based on physiology knowledge and client communication.
- Educate clients on massage benefits, post-treatment care, and pain management strategies to support their health goals.
- Maintain detailed records of each session, including treatment notes and client progress, ensuring compliance with medical terminology standards.
- Ensure a safe and hygienic environment by adhering to all health regulations and CPR certification requirements.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their concerns, preferences, and medical history for optimal treatment outcomes.
- Promote excellent customer service by creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits and positive feedback.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with current certification.
- Proven experience in various massage modalities such as Swedish massage, deep tissue therapy, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, cupping Therapy, and occupational health treatments.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology essential for effective patient assessment and pain management.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to massage therapy practices.
- CPR certification is required to ensure client safety during treatments.
- Prior experience working in med spas or similar healthcare environments is preferred.
- Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly and empathetically.
