Responsibilities
- Safely transport flatbed freight while following all traffic laws, FMCSA regulations, and company safety policies.
- Properly secure every load using straps, chains, binders, and tarps when required to ensure safe transportation.
- Complete thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and promptly report any mechanical or safety concerns.
- Pick up and deliver freight on time while maintaining clear communication with dispatch throughout each trip.
- Accurately complete and submit all required paperwork, including Bills of Lading (BOLs), Proofs of Delivery (PODs), inspection reports, and other trip documents.
- Plan routes and manage time efficiently to meet pickup and delivery appointments.
- Operate electronic logging devices (ELDs), GPS navigation, and mobile communication apps as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional appearance of the truck and trailer.
- Perform basic cargo checks throughout the trip to ensure all freight remains properly secured.
- Follow all company policies regarding safety, equipment care, and cargo handling.
- Immediately report accidents, cargo issues, delays, or other incidents to dispatch.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous hotshot, flatbed, or over-the-road (OTR) driving experience preferred.
- Knowledge of proper cargo securement, including the use of straps, chains, binders, edge protectors, and tarps.
- Ability to safely inspect, load, and transport a variety of flatbed freight.
- Strong understanding of FMCSA safety regulations, Hours of Service (HOS), and Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs).
- Clean driving record with a commitment to safe and defensive driving practices.
- Ability to plan routes, manage time effectively, and consistently meet pickup and delivery appointments.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and identify potential safety or maintenance concerns.
- Physically capable of securing freight and handling the demands of flatbed work, including lifting, climbing, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Pay: $1,317.23 - $1,675.50 per week
