Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Hotel Housekeeper to join our hospitality team, committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring guest rooms and public areas are impeccably clean, sanitized, and welcoming. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, changing linens, and sanitizing surfaces to meet sanitation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and recreational facilities.
- Handle cleaning tasks using appropriate equipment and chemical agents while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines.
- Manage heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture or supplies safely and efficiently.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff.
- Use cleaning equipment effectively, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and industrial cleaning tools.
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of chemical agents in accordance with safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory management of cleaning supplies and report shortages or maintenance issues promptly.
- Support hotel housekeeping management in maintaining operational standards and implementing new procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests or concerns related to cleanliness.
Requirements
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial roles within the hospitality industry.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques, sanitation practices, and industrial cleaning methods.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment, chemical handling, and safety data sheets (SDS).
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor.
- Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols.
- Previous experience with hotel housekeeping management or custodial responsibilities is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
