Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve food items efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality, presentation, and safety.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process transactions accurately and swiftly.
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with precision.
- Assist customers with menu selections, upselling items to enhance their experience and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food prep areas, dining spaces, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Support food industry operations by bussing tables, restocking supplies, and ensuring quick service during busy hours.
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service delivery in a quick service or fast-food restaurant environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, cashiering, or retail environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential!
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food handling safety standards.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with diverse customers.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, sales transactions, and inventory management.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience in kitchen operations or café environments is advantageous; familiarity with grocery store or retail math is beneficial.
