Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance to ensure a positive shopping experience
- Conduct product demonstrations and explain features to help customers make informed purchasing decisions
- Assist with merchandising and stocking shelves to maintain an attractive and organized store layout
- Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems for accurate cash handling, transactions, and receipts
- Upsell complementary products and services to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when communicating with customers over the phone or via online inquiries
- Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and assisting with inventory counts
- Apply basic math skills for cash handling, pricing, and sales calculations
- Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively engage with diverse customer needs
- Supervise or assist in supervising team members when required, fostering a collaborative environment
- Ensure compliance with store policies, including safety procedures and customer service standards
Experience
- Prior retail sales experience is preferred; experience in grocery stores or similar environments is a plus
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve a diverse customer base effectively
- Demonstrated proficiency in POS systems, cashiering, and basic retail math
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Supervising experience is advantageous for leadership opportunities within the team
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and product demos enhances your effectiveness in this role
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills are essential for engaging customers professionally
