Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring special requests are noted and fulfilled
- Serve food and beverages promptly, including wine and spirits, with knowledge of proper presentation and serving techniques
- Process cash and credit transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy in sales recording and cash handling
- Upsell menu items such as appetizers, desserts, or specialty drinks to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, supporting overall restaurant operations
- Assist with guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and professionally, fostering a welcoming environment for all patrons
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for efficient order processing and sales transactions
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and handle diverse needs gracefully
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods without compromising service quality
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service standards
- Basic math skills for accurate bill calculation, processing payments, and handling cash transactions
- Familiarity with food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining genuine guest engagement
- Experience in bussing tables, hosting/hostess duties, or cashiering is a plus but not required
