Overview
Apparel Redefined is a custom apparel decoration company specializing in print-on-demand, embroidery, and screen printing. We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Operations Specialist with strong QuickBooks and general accounting experience to own day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced small business environment where communication and ownership of outcomes matter.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable end to end
- Process vendor payments and maintain vendor relationships
- Execute bi-weekly payroll using Paylocity
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and balance sheet accounts
- Prepare and issue invoices; track ACH payments
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Work within NOMOS (proprietary business management system) and client software portals to facilitate invoicing, order processing, payments, and audits
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation including past bills, invoices, and tax records
- Coordinate with the company's accounting firm on financials and IRS reporting
- Communicate proactively with leadership on financial status and exceptions
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting regulations
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience in a bookkeeper, AP/AR, or similar accounting role
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and/or Desktop
- Experience with Paylocity or comparable payroll platform
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP knowledge preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office suite
- Comfort working within proprietary business management systems
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Familiarity with data analytics or reporting tools is a plus but not required

- Payables and receivables consistently maintained under 30 days
- Payroll executed accurately and on time every cycle
- Financial reports delivered accurately and on schedule
- Vendor relationships maintained in good standing
- Financial documentation organized and audit-ready at all times
Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
