Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements as a host/hostess when needed
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using TOAST POS system
- Serve food and drinks promptly, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages
- Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods
- Upsell menu items and beverage options to enhance guest experiences and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including bussing tables and food handling
- Ensure food safety protocols are followed during food preparation, serving, and storage
- Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions about menu items, specials, or dietary needs
- Assist with opening or closing duties to ensure smooth restaurant operations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely delivery of orders and manage special requests
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment is highly preferred
- Familiarity with TOAST POS system is a plus
- Experience in fine dining settings or with cocktail service enhances your candidacy
- Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, and beverage service techniques is desirable
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining high-quality service
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach to guest interactions
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and handling cash confidently
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry is essential
- Experience with TOAST TABLES or similar reservation systems is advantageous
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple responsibilities
