STRUCTURAL WELDER / FITTER (DAY & NIGHT SHIFT)
We are currently hiring experienced Structural Welders and Fitters for an immediate opening in the Midland, TX area. Qualified candidates must be able to pass an AWS D1.1 weld test prior to placement.
WELD TEST REQUIREMENTS
Code: AWS D1.1 – Structural Welding Code (Steel)
Test Type: Groove Weld – Butt Joint
Position: 2G (Horizontal)
Base Metal: A36 or A572 Structural Steel
IDEAL CANDIDATE
Experience welding and fitting to AWS D1.1 structural code
Proficient in structural steel applications
Ability to pass a 2G groove weld butt joint test
Experience with A36 and/or A572 structural steel
Skilled in fit-up, alignment, and joint preparation
Able to read and interpret structural drawings and weld symbols
Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to meet production standards
