High school diploma or GED (required).
Candidates must have at least three years of experience operating heavy equipment, specifically trackhoes and excavators. Additionally, candidates must possess at least three years of related experience in construction trades—such as drainage installation, ditch work, paving, and roadway or sidewalk construction—or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position.
Specific License or Certification Required: Must possess and maintain a valid North Carolina Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), with the ability to obtain a Class A CDL within 90 days of hire, including appropriate tanker endorsement(s).
Must possess and maintain Flagger and Work Zone Safety certification or the ability to obtain both within 90 days of hire.
